This project was to build two roundabouts at the intersections of Victory and Eagle and Amity and Eagle, as well as curb, gutter, sidewalk along Eagle Rd between the intersections. As part of the contract there would be over 6,000 square yards of Riven Stone colored concrete and over 19,000 lineal feet of curb. Both roundabouts were infilled with colored and stamped concrete, giving Ada County Highway District and the people of Meridian two beautiful roundabouts. One of the changes that Peak Concrete encountered on this project was the extension of all sidewalks from 8’ to 10’. Peak was able to adapt on the fly and drill and dowel to create a larger sidewalk so pedestrians and bikers could share the same space. We were happy to be able to do this project and hope the citizens of Meridian can enjoy this roadway more with the addition of the roundabouts to help ease traffic backups.
